PROJECTS CARRIED OUT WITH MEB SUPPORT

OUR BUSINESS BUSINESS EDUCATION CENTER ACTIVITIES

After the Apprenticeship Training based on workplace-school integrity, given within the scope of the Apprenticeship and Vocational Training Law No. 3308, was put into practice in Turkey, 'Supra-Business Training Centers' with periodic foreign financial support were established by the MEKSA Foundation in accordance with the Tradesmen and Craftsmen Law No. 507 for the dissemination of the system. In this education system, the apprentice student, who receives theoretical training for 1 day at MEM (ÇEM), receives practical training in the same branch in this training center for half a day in the same week.

One of these training centers is; It was established in Gaziantep in 1994 for the metal (turning, leveling, welding) sector in a workshop in the Küsget Örnek Industrial Site, which was allocated to the Gaziantep Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers Association (GESOB) and MEKSA Foundation by the Ministry of Industry through the Gaziantep Governorship. The repair of this workshop, located on an area of 2 decares, was completed with the contributions of GESOB.

A modern training center has been established in Gaziantep, with bench equipment and training environment provided by the MEKSA Foundation with Swiss financial support, to provide post-business training to apprentice students attending MEM in professions related to the metal industry.

In terms of sustainability of this training, the training center was taken over by GESOB (starting from 01.11.2000) at the end of the project period. Our province of Gaziantep, which does exemplary work in many areas throughout Turkey, has set one of the best examples in this regard.

In addition to post-business training for apprentice students; Short-term professional development courses are also provided for engineers, technicians, technicians, masters and journeymen on the following subjects:

Since the establishment of our training center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, a total of 321 students have graduated from the professions of Leveling-Turning and Welding, receiving Journeyman Education Achievement Certificates.
