The 3rd Phase work of our project, defined as "Workplace-Based Learning and Micro Business Support Programme", which we started to implement for the first time in 2021, as the Gaziantep Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Association (GESOB), in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), will be carried out virtually with the contract signed on 07.08.2023. has started.
As a result of the work carried out in the 2nd Phase of the project, a remarkable success was achieved by providing 80% registered employment. As a result of these studies, the project was extended until 30.10.2025.
Within the scope of the project, which consists of two components, it is aimed to support the registration processes of unregistered businesses and employees in Gaziantep province. In this context, within the scope of the "Workplace Based Learning (İŞMEP)" program, the target group consisting of 50% Turkish and 50% SuTP citizens is ensured to participate in registered employment, and salary and SSI premium supports are provided to the businesses that employ them. On the other hand, the "Information Center (BİLMER)" activities established within GESOB and the registration costs of unregistered enterprises (Municipal License, Chamber Registry and E-SIGN) are supported by project resources, while the work permit applications and costs of unregistered employees are funded by the project.
All tradesmen and artisan businesses operating in Gaziantep will be able to benefit from these supports, regardless of sector. As GESOB, while our fight against informality at the local level continues institutionally, we are trying to support our tradesmen and craftsmen by providing access to the necessary funds through cooperation with international institutions in order to alleviate the grievances of our tradesmen and craftsmen.
